THE INSPIRATION 
In 1875, exactly one hundred years before I was born, Walter Crane created one of his master pieces: A wall-paper design called Swan, Rush and Iris. A center piece of the Art Nouveau movement that that has not lost any of its charm and beauty. A timeless piece.

This will be a long knitting journey for you but it is worth every stitch. Once finished, you can sew in a lining that will prevent the shawl from curling.

GAUGE
36 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Stranded Knitting on needle 2.5 mm (US1,5) after blocking. 

NEEDLES
US 1.5 (2.5 mm) circular needles or matching DPN's 

YARN
400 g of any light fingering yarn in dark blue                           
200 g of any light fingering yarn in a natural white shade                                                  200 g of any light fingering yarn in a yellowish speckled shade
A bit of orange and light blue of any light fingering yarn
